Retail Sales Clerk

Department:            ACE Hardware

Reports To:              Manager

Job Summary:

To provide excellent customer service to retail customers seeking to purchase items from Ace Hardware.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Assist customers
  • Stocking shelves and maintaining assigned area
  • Theft prevention
  • Maintain clean environment by removal of trash, dust, sweep, moping as needed
  • Assisting at Cash register as needed
  • Carry out as required by customer needs
  • Unloading delivery trucks
  • Daily accounting and reconciling of receipts
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • Construction experience
  • Hardware sales experience
  • Knowledge of home repairs


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended period of items
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to twist, turn, bend, kneel and climb ladder
