Grain Originator/Accounting  

Department:             Corporate Grain

Reports To:              Grain Division Manager

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for buying of grain from producers, assisting in arranging the logistics of moving the grains from location to location and providing excellent customer service.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Purchasing grain from producers
  • Calling on producers to purchase on farm stored grain
  • Share in grain accounting duties, such as ticketing, settlements, proof yields
  • Some Hedging
  • Logistics- assisting in scheduling of trucks
  • Recordkeeping, filing
  • Customer Service
  • Daily use of computers, spreadsheets, 10 key
  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Requirements:

  • Grain experience
  • Ag Degree
  • Agtrax software

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in office environment
  • Must be able to communicate over the telephone
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds if needed
